Filezilla For Mac Catalina

For the folks looking for an efficient open-source FTP client, Filezilla can be an ideal answer for multiple reasons. First and foremost, it has a clean interface and is pretty easy to use. That means you won’t have to spend a lot of time mastering the tools, making FileZilla more suitable for beginners. I'm running MacOS Catalina (10.15.2) and have used Filezilla for years. Today the less-then-current version I was using crashed so I downloaded the free version for Mac 3.46.3 but can't get it to run.

Is filezilla safe for macCatalinaI'm running MacOS Catalina (10.15.2) and have used Filezilla for years. Today the less-then-current version I was using crashed so I downloaded the free version for Mac 3.46.3 but can't get it to run. From the download file, I can extract the .tar file using WinZip, then from that extract the 'package' named Filezilla (again using Winzip) but the Filezilla icon has the ominous 'no' sign on it (circle with a cross bar). When I nonetheless move it into my Applications I can see it in LaunchPad but when I try to run it it says 'Application cannot be opened.'
I also tried 3.46.2 and got the same results.
