Edge To Edge Lip Pencil Mac

The MAC Pencilled In Collection for Spring 2015 included an assortment of lipliners, lipsticks, and lipglasses that were all made for a match! Yes, that’s right. This collection put an end to the hopeless search of finding a matching lipliner for your lipstick – or vice versa if you’re starting with a lipliner first!

Product Details. Lip pencil by MAC. Helps you stay in the lines, if you want to. Can be used to shape, line or fill-in lips. Smooth, creamy texture. It goes on like a dream. Doesn't skip or drag. Applies quickly and precisely. Use lip pencil before matching lipstick for a long-lasting look. Cons of MAC Edge To Edge Lip Pencil: Not a hydrating formula; however, considering they are supposed to provide an iron-clad base for lipstick – one kind of expects them to be drying. You cannot really have an emollient formula as base for a lipstick. Tends to cling to dry patches, would suggest exfoliating lips before applying.

Naturally, I was drawn to one of the most popular lipliners of the bunch, “Edge to Edge.” I use the term popular because it was literally sold out after the initial release on the MAC website – even though they are all permanent colors in the MAC line.

MAC describes “Edge to Edge” as a dirty bluepink. It’s matching lipstick is MAC’s “Pink Plaid”, which has already been part of the MAC product line for quite some time. Their shade descriptions are exactly the same, which makes it easy to figure out the other lipliner/lipstick matches.

Here are swatches of “Edge to “Edge”:

Aside from being a great color, this lipliner also has amazing pigmentation and was easy to apply. It retails for $16 at MAC counters, MAC online, and other online retailers (see below for direct link).

Where to Buy

Available for $16 at Nordstrom.com.

I am excited to share with you my collection of MAC lip pencils. MAC has always been the Queen of lip products and I think that they have some of the best lip pencils on the market.

In addition to swatching my collection, I thought it would also be fun to share some of the MAC lipsticks that each lipliner pairs well with. These are just a few of my suggestions. The joy of lipliners is that you can literally pair them with anything. You can use them to “match” a lipstick, deepen a lipstick, use them INSTEAD of a lipstick etc.
